1990 5.0 swap thread (project Jenner)

So I am starting the swap process this week now that the engine and trans is ready to go in, Im going to name it Project Jenner (old busted pickup that thinks its a hot young mustang)

Proform roller rockers 1.7
Sn95 fuel rail
Explorer injectors 19lb
Ricks rangers engine plates
4.0 rubber mounts
A9L computer
M5OD-R2 trans
Luk 11" clutch

More parts to come my focus is engine and trans out and in this week and mostly wiring. Other stuff that inst as time consuming will follow.

Per your description the M5R2 trans you initially used was from a 1990 F50. However, it appears you have a 97-03 top cover on it. Did you have to modify the cover or trans to get this to work?

I didn't modify the transmission. The junk yard must have misidentified the one they sold me.

no converters in exhaust? just weld bungs in downpipes?
