1990 4X4 4.0 Ranger SuperCab auto to manny swap

my bad looks like the nss plug is the same for the manual as the auto. i meant to say the clutch safety switch, which is actually very easy to connect so i will be running that. this check was very short for some reason so no new parts for the truck =[, couple weeks and i should have her running. will keep everyone updated!! =]

i might be annoying everyone with my constant posts but here we goooo,
started her up the other day when i finished the exhaust to make sure there were no leaks and it started making an ear piercing screeching noise. looked through one of the inspection holes and saw that the pressure plate and flywheel were wobbling.... im pretty sure everything is tight, i mean i didnt use a torque wrench, but i used a breaker bar and tightened them as much as i could. the flywheel bolts didnt look shouldered but when i bolted it up it was dead center. i did use the auto backing plate still but i dont see why that would make this happen?
pulling the trans sometime this week, to find out whats going on.
also since im going in there might as well put a manual backing plate in there, if anyone has one laying around in good condition maybe we can arrange payment/shipping?
and last question what would be the result of not running a backing plate at all?

Pulled trans everything was tight, found that the flywheel was rubbing against the backing plate so I pulled everything off and grinded down the raised area of the backing plate to make it even and put everything back together, torqued everything down to spec. Put trans back in and started it up and the screeching is still there, and everything still looks like its wobbling still . Don't know what to do or why it's still rubbing.. or wobbling. Any advice? ?

So I took that plate out and put every thing back together and it all seems to be fine! Got the pedals in and reassembled the interior. I took an ecu out of a 90 mazda navajo and am running that in the truck. Went through 2 master cylinders trying to install one and for some reason both kept leaking so I took the truck to ford and has them install the master cylinder. (Ended up overpaying but thats what happens when you go to the dealership!) But they get it done right. As of now the truck is up and running and driving! So much better than the automatic haha. Only issues I have right now is an exhaust leak (broke stud on cat), the rpm guage, fuel guage, and voltmeter gauge don't work. Dont know why. And I didn't swap harnesses so no reverse lights, and I wired up a push button ignition off of the old park/reverse/neutral safety switch! Lol
I am planning on dOing a little write up of the whole project so stay tuned!
