1989 FX4 BII, resto-mod project

Last time I was at crap tire I had to buy clear coat and you can get it in a satin finish I'd think that would be best for a olive drab truck. That way it's not glossy it'll look the same hut he protected. Only thing is inonow satin is harder to spray cause if it doesn't dry evenly it turns out blotchey

yeah, im gonna try carquest for the paint and then prob try crappy tire and ill see what they got for clear coats

that olive drab b2 looks awesome. i cant decide if i wanna re-do the eddie bauer paint job or go olive drab. i really like the eddie bauer tan

just called around to a bunch of different stores and nobody can get it. looks like this may be a job for ebay or google

just called home hardware they have a gloss green and a john deere green, neither are much good to me but she said she can mix colors. so hopefully i can make it down there today

cant go wrong with olive drab, do a good job with prep, masking, and let coats properly dry in between and you should be happy.

thanks for the tips man.
tomorrow im putting a set of shocks and a gas tank on one of my buddys trucks, and putting a set of shocks on another buddys truck so that should give me a bit more cash to do some mods, like buy the herculiner for the interior. and some front brake lines

More from whats his face. Still can't think of his SN, but I love his truck.

sweet thanks buddy, i found him on here he is 89_BII or something like that

well the guy at the scrap yard said he is going to think about the explorer and let me know. so if thats a no-go, im gonna get back to work at narrowing my 1979 hp d44.

got alot done tonight

scrapped the ranger pretty much, took out the CB, Lights, Wiring, Switches, Body lift, 33s, Wheel adapters. threw on a set of old bald 235s and shes probably gonna be going up for sale. not much good to me anymore. also took the passenger side seat out of the b2 and the carpet, and i found the original build sheet. cool as hell

not a chance. explorer isnt worth dick all, its a sin to bring the ranger in to the scrapyard, ill probably still use her for a plow truck if i dont sell it.

last night i got the rest of the interior stripped and the floor cleaned up and painted with some rubberized undercoating i got at canadian tire because i didnt want to spend the $150 on the herculiner kit. and after i got it done cand came back to moms i mentioned something about it to mom and she said well if its gonna save the floor from rotting i would of payed for the herculiner kit. this is after i had it already done with the cheaper stuff!!!! so yes im pissed about it but maybe ill just say that stuff is chipping off and i need the herculiner kit lol.

sorry i never got any pics but ill try to get some today

went to the auto store and told them the color, they told me to get a code number. so i haul out my phone and google it and i find a number 319. so they looked it up on there computer and its a volkswagen color apparently, and they dont have the right colors to mix it. so one of my buddys works at a auto shop in the next town over and he is gonna check it out for me monday.
