Hey guys. New user, love the site, very helpful. Just curious if anyone knows if an automatic transmission from a 1992 3.0L will fit up to a 1989 2.9L, both 2wd. The 3.0L is in a reg. cab, the 2.9 is an extended cab. Any thoughts??

Won't work unless you have a removable bell housing. The 3.0 and 2.9 don't share a bell-bolt pattern.

If it as a changeable bell, and assuming they are both the same trans, I guess it could work. I'd just bet there is something with the controls and the valve body that will make it not work though.
