I have a 89 f-150 that has the 300 in it and whenever I drive it more than 5 miles or so it dies on me. It starts and runs fine until it warms up it seems, so I dont think its the fuel filter....It could be electrical because the ignition has been rigged with a push button start and I used to have problems starting it, but not anymore. Any Ideas on what I should look for?

how does it dies?

electric fuel pump or mechanical?

Wires touching metal parts?

the 300 is pretty hard to kill, but I'd check the wiring.

It'll have an electric fuel pump. The 300 began fuel injection in 87.

Its either the Ignition Module, or the coil.

Id start with the ignition module, those are more common to go out.

later,
Dustin

okay will do fellas, thanks for the input.
