Hi new to the forum. Have a 1989 Bronco 2 - 2.9 litre. Its been sitting 3 years, fixing it up to plow snow on the farm. It stalls out, almost like someone shuts the key off, after running for 20 minutes or so. Seems to stall after the engine is warm and I let the RPMs drop off to an idle. I have replaced the coil, TFI, plug and wires, starter.. I disconnected the O2 sensor ( dosnt make any difference - same issue). The truck starts after sitting for 20 minutes or so. I've checked all vacuumn lines, connections the best as I can. Thinking the TPS maybe wonky. Electrical is not my strong point. Any ideas or suggestions out there. Thanks a million - Todd, BC, Canada:beer:

Back probe TPS - can't remember which lead goes where - volts should be about .95'ish.
Pull codes - search for code reader in the search bar. there is a page in here that will show you how.
Check for grounds. Sounds like you may have issues when the truck warms and goes into its closed(?) loop.
Check where the EGR valve connects to the plenum behind the throttle body....it can get plugged with carbon.
Check for vacuum leaks. Usually this will increase RPM's...but you never know....
Check and clean the IAC.
How is the fuel pressure? Could the Fuel Pump be going bad and quits when it gets warm? Check pressure cold and when hot and the problems start.
Plugged Cats? probably not

Will try and think of some other possible solutions..........

got a leak in ur header near the passenger firewall?

had same issue...run it for 20 min 30 min randomly shut off...

wait 20 minutes she'd fire right back up...turned out the exhaust gasses were heating up the pass firewall where the fuel cut off switch is and it though there was a fire and would shut the truck down...
