Hello, I have a 1989 Ranger and the armrests on the door panels have both broken. I’ve searched high and low online, but I haven’t found any replacements for sale. Has anyone else had this problem? I’m sure they have, the armrests have a plastic frame and broke pretty easily. I’d appreciate any solutions or links that you can share. Thanks!

My 2011 has the same problem. The plan, when I get to it. Is to reinforce the plastic grid under the pad with some sheet metal since the driver's side has been replaced once while the truck was still under warranty and broke not that long after. The design is just too flimsy and a self made steel or aluminum piece to reinforce the weak structure seems to be the only answer to me. The arm rest unscrews from the back of the door card. So, working on it should be too bad. But all I have right now is a basic idea and plan and nothing concrete or made to show for it. It's one of those "bridges we'll cross when we get there" type plans. Some sheet metal pieces from a hardware store should work well for the project.
