So I have been working on my T5 swap since my mazda trans started sounding like a war zone in it.
Just so everyone knows.
1. Welding a 1/4 inch plate of aluminum onto the bell house and drilling and tapping for the slave. Works quite well.
2. There is an adapter fitting online from summit I ordered. Look it up at a -3AN fitting to jeep clutch. That way you can run a steel braided line from your master to your slave
3. I bought my slave at auto zone for $12 it works great.
4. Yes your clutch pedal will be way more stiff. Sorry
5. Use your Ranger flywheel, with your ranger pressure plate, and your mustang clutch disc (for the splines) Use your mustang fork, mustang throw out bearing. The pilot bearings are the same.
6. your Cross member has to be brought forward towards the motor. About 4 inches. Best way to do it drill your rivets and that holds on the carriers for the cross member. Then bolt them to the cross member and the cross member to the tranny. Level it out and than mark drill and use bolts.
7. Ill letcha know if the drive shaft fits. You need the input sleeve off the mustangs drive shaft to match the splines on the transmission.
8. Yes you will need to cut up your floor.
If you have any questions let me know. I am in the process of changing to my t5 right now.
