1988 ranger header info needed

I'm putting a 2.3l pinto engine into a 2wd 1988 ranger and wanted to know if a long tube pinto header would fit in the ranger.
 
I had one on my '87. It fit but the #3 tube hit the frame rail even after I dented it. Mine was a cheap Ebay header for Pinto/Mustang II for like $60.
