Bought for $800 from a neighbor after her father the owner deceased. Runs great, all stock except they had swapped out engine to a 2.9l. Bought to revive, practice tinkering on and just flat out becuz they are bad ass. Best part, almost no rust. Plans are to drop front, change wheels, suspension, ac delete, customize interior for now.

Great deal, I look forward to seeing pictures of it fixed up.

Added 2" drop springs/shocks in the front & adjustable hi-jackers in the rear just cuz I had a set layin' around. Also threw some wheels/tires on I had saved from a good once-upon-a-time deal....pretty happy with the outcome.

Look at that rake....

Next come all the front suspension/steering components.

Did you do body work on the truck ? In the top picture it looks like the door, cab and bed are dented up. In the picture with your new wheels the truck looks straight. The wheels look better and the truck doesn't have a lot of rake now.

I wish. Its a reversed image cuz the truck was sitting in 2 different directions on the before and after photos.

I do plan on doing bodywork at some point, as of yet I know nothing about it however I am a decent TIG welder. :icon_welder:

Nice warm 70+ degree weekend here in VA. Rushed thru leaf clean-up and wood splitting to get to the truck. Pulled out all this crap...

Installed all the new stuff....

Heres the drop springs and drop shocks....

So after the drop in the front took it for an alignment, way off. Lost $20 and my temper arguing with the owner that I did NOT need drop spindles to correct. Heres what the computer said:

Left Camber: -2.83
Right Camber: -2.20

Bought 2 1/4* camber adjusters from Napa and threw um in along with upper and lower ball joints

Turned um all the way out and rode up to Merchants for a much pricer alignment. However, they were happy to align a lowered vehicle which was a first for me. Heres the new computer findings:

Left camber: +0.1
Right camber: -.03
Left Toe: +.10
Right Toe: 0.00

Much better, close enough for me. Cost me a bill but it does come with a 3 month warranty

Gabriel hijackers installed. Took less than an hour to install and run/mount airline and didnt even have to use a jack.

Hopefully they will still work with a 4" drop after the rear flip I plan to do soon, input welcome...

Cold weather and a garage full of motorcycles killed my progress along with my battery. Picked up a Bosch 85 at Pep gals with CCA @ 630, 3yr warranty for $125. The recommended Prostart 56 CCA @ 590 was $115 with only a 2 yr warranty. Droppin that in tmw along with a new ground and a quick disconnect switch. Supposed to be above 50*f :headbang:
