1988 Bronco II Virginia Trail Build

Everything was motorcraft, distributor down to plugs. Looking towards fuel issue potentially idk where else to turn.

Well got one of my manual window rust FREE doors installed today. Little time consuming 90% happy with how it shuts so I'm good with that for a trail rig and doing it by myself. Another set of hands or a paint stirrer would have been a huge help.

Well the hated miss/stutter MAY actually be fixed. After 15 hours on the road today nearly 500 miles and 7 hours of on site customer training and a gps install on a skid steer I walked in the garage and to set tools down and decided to swap the FoMoCo TFI module I had ordered 2 weeks ago out with whatever I had bought before (Carquest Premier/Premium) if I recall correctly. 10 minutes later... See below

"Cold" start and run.

I say "cold" cause it's been 95+ and 80% humidity or more for 2 weeks straight

Those damn TFI modules...

That was a nice send off for the old one.

I thought that miss sounded and looked ignition related.

Really happy you got it figured out...

I've been looking for a used set of tanks... torches are on my list. They sure don't give those things away.

Suspension stuff must be showing up by now... right?

Also... did you find a new Motorcraft TFI?

Lift kit is in. All in the garage taking up work space. Lot of close friends deep in weld/fab/line boring and this is the brand suggested without spending a fortune. Gonna buy some bottles but gonna refill a borrowed set to try it out.

I did. Rock auto wanna say 60 or 80 bucks can’t quite recall.. %1000 (not 100) better off to order what you want online originally and paying a few dollars and waiting for what you want and planned originally than settling for what the 17 year old high school kid has in stock. Can’t believe I fell for that mess honestly.

We've all learned the junk parts lesson.

I think I should buy one before they become extinct. I want to remote mount it too. Still would be nice to keep a spare on hand.

I probably would have thrown the old new one in the glove box... it would at least get you home in a pinch.

I will be ordering another today. Rock auto had them and were cheaper than any auto parts store at account cost.

SOOOOO done with this project fighting me at EVERY turn.. finally got an evening I could "touch" it and bam smacked in the face, again... The new leaf springs i ordered and installed add-a-leaf's in were no where near correct. Nearly 12" short.. Decided to replace start in on the bad fuel pump on my 84 F-150 and that turned into a disaster so here I am in the living room searching for sleep.. I am really getting tired of fighting spending my own money..
