Purchased three fuel pumps so far. But all of them hit the bottom of the tank. Even though I ordered them for a 1988, bronco II. The original fuel pump has a slight bend in it. How do I get the right one?

Where you ordering from? I got my last one from Rockauto but that was years ago and was pleased with it. Might try taking your original to a local parts store for comparision.

Do yourself a favor and get the 1990 Gen 2 bronco fuel pump and get rid of the high pressure inline one. Otherwise, the auto parts warehouses are giving you the regular ranger one and you'll need to go to rock auto for the right one. Or there is another option which is if the sending unit is intact just get another fuel pump from rock auto and install it on the fuel pump sending unit. There is yet another option which is to get an aftermarket fuel pump from holley measure your fuel pump dimensions and find one that'll work then plug it up and wire it up and get rid of the high pressure fuel pump as well.
