1988 BII Build

i may be getting some skyjacker lift brackets from another TRS member, so it's lookin like i'll be waiting on installing the lift and tires. i'll just have to wait for another deal to come along. i want the new brackets so i can have an actual bracket for the driver side. the drop plate scares me. the guy hasnt answered my email about the tires anyhow, he said he other people looking at them, so i think he may have sold them.

if you get another set, i want the old ones!

sure man. i've gusseted them and everything, i have RA drop brackets as well

thanks but im working on a set of radius arm drops myself lol, pm me if you get the new brackets

I beat the snot out of those old drops, nothing to be scared of. Just be sure to have a good bump stop and you are all set!

I was jumping my truck with that stuff on it.....

LOL, yeah i actually recall you saying that now. i forgot i got those from you. the bumpstops WILL be replaced, not matter which drops i'm running. they're the stockers.

have you recovered yet kyle?

Getting closer, I feel pretty good today, even mowed the grass! Maybe after another week or so I will yank the motor out of the mustang and start getting ready to swap. Thanks for asking BTW

well, still havent heard from the guy about the skyjacker brackets. he said he would let me know, but i'm getting kinda tired of waiting. i'm thinking i'll go ahead and install the rear lift tomorrow and then give the skyjacker brackets another week, if i havent heard anything then, i'll just use the rough country stuff i have.

i went and bought a bender last night from harbor freight. it works ok, nothing special. i'm making my dad a some tikki torches for his b-day and i needed one to bend some rebar. i'm gonna make a new trans cross member with it as well. that way it'll clear the front d-shaft.

gonna try and find some pipe to the x member out of this weekend

the SJ lift kit got sold, so i can go ahead and put on the rough country one. oh well, just wasted a little time waiting on it.

excellent news, got home from work today to find my bronco had been towed by the apartment complex we live in. stupid motherf*ckers......no warning, nothing saying that i had to move it, they just towed it. before we signed the lease, i asked if it would be a problem that we had 3 cars instead of 2. "oh it's no problem, we dont really enforce it..." bullshit. so now i get to argue with them tomorrow until they give me my car back. son of a bitch

the tow company says that my tags are expired and that in their contract with the apartment complex they can tow your car if they're expired. ****ing bullshit. the car is still in my parents name and they say they havent gotten anything about it. so who knows. they are checking it for me. it's gonna cost $100 to get it out and i'm gonna have to start keeping it in the garage.
