hi all , i have 87 2.9 liter auto ranger 2wd , the engine spins over , i have changed inertia switch . but the fuel system won't turn i have tried fuel pump relay !! there is power to the injectors with key on even tried a computer or ecu

Have you tried jumping the fuel pump relay?

Is there 12v power at the relay and inertia switch, both wires.

The 12v is only there for 2 seconds when key is cycled on each time.
If you remove relay and insert jumper wire it should have 12v all the time.

If you get 12v at the inertia switch then pump is probably bad, or the ground for the pump is bad.

This is the wiring diagram for the 2.9l

You can see the wire colors marked, that may be helpful in tracking down the on power issue
The EEC relay powers the Fuel pump and other components, so it needs to be working as well.
