i am fixing to buy my old truck back off my friend it is a 1986 with a 2.0l 5 speed. his grandpa has a 1987 efi 2.3l auto that he is going to scrap. i was wondering if i could swap the efi to the 2.0l and if so what would i need. any help would be appreciated

Should work, but you will need everything...wiring epecially...and the computer from the footwell on the passenger side...plus you may need to swap in the pump/sending unit from the gas tank and install the return lines, high pressure pump (essentially the whole fuel system) and the cigarette lighter...

Just kidding about the lighter...but it is quite a bit of work...that's why I left mine carburated...even though I had all the parts at one time...kicking myself sometimes, but I do prefer the carb when it runs good...which is most of the time...

Oh, and you will, of course, need the throttle body, intake, and fuel rail...as well as the distributor...the coil might work from the original truck, but I think they are actually different...
