I know it might be in the wrong section but I need a quick answer since I lost my Chilton :bawling: . I dont know which bolt is it to check the tranny fluid its a manual transmission 2.9 4x4. Here are some pictures. Is it on the passenger side or driver side

I'm gonna say it should be the one on the drivers side...

is there a drain plug on the drivers side too? On my Ranger there is a fill plug halfway up the case and a drain plug at the bottom on the drivers... but that doesn't really help cuz i'm sure we have different trannys....

pretty sure it's the one on the drivers side though. I'd go look in my chilton's manual (my hanes only does 98-01, my chiltons does the older ones) but I"m not exactly sure where it is right now... (in theory it would be on one of my bookcases in the reference section but they usually are out in the garage or in a truck somewhere)

yea its the one on the driver side, that other plug looking thing is basically a cover to a rollpin to remove the 5-R shift rail.
