i have an old ford f150 2wd and im looking to swap it to 4x4 has the inline 6 and an auto tranny. don't know it i could use the frame or would i have to get another frame

A DANA 44 front end will bolt up to the stock drop brakets that are on the truck now...and for a tranny...use one from any 300 or 302 or 351w blocks and dont forger the t-case

Driveshafts for a 4x4....

I suggest selling it and buying one with four wheel drive already in it. A lot les work man. Then you can focus your efforts on lifting it and spend your money on big tires instead of a front axle, driveline and t-case.

True... but sometimes it's easier to convert a 2wd cuz it's hard to find a 4x4 in your area or you can't find one cheap enough to be worth it.

^good point^

A little patients will solve that problem though, and give you more time to save $$$$ and do it right. That's what I would do.
