I am removing my Subs and Amp from the back of my Bronco II. Can someone recommend a GOOD set of speakers I can replace the factory ones with that have a REALLY GOOD SOUND? I just bought a new Pioneer Head Unit. I am tired of the HUGE box in the back and I would like to get rid of it, But it would be nice to have some good sounds without it.. I don't need THUMP THUMP, Just a NICE sounding system.

Thanks!

Head phones :)

A pair of 6 or 6.5 inch two way will be your best bet

Two-way means it will have two speakers in it, and a crossover, a small Tweeter speaker for highs, and the larger 6-6.5 in woofer for mids and lows
A crossover sends the highs to the tweeter and lows to woofer

For thumping you really need to go to a larger speaker to generate the longer waves, which is why sub-woofers are bigger

Loads of brands out there, go with what looks better for your application

Get the watt rating on your Radio/amplifier, and then get speakers with similar watt rating, a high watt speaker will not sound GOOD on a lower wattage amp.
And a low watt speak will not sound GOOD on a high wattage amp

Try to avoid pointing the speaker directly at each other
"Like frequencies cancel each other out", so you will get "muddy" sound

Keep + and - correct, or speakers will be out of phase

Well I want to stay with what goes in the dash and the rear seat speakers. But Don't know what speakers to get.. I don't want to add anything else. I thought about buying $100.00 dash speakers and $100.00 rear seat speakers HOPING they might sound good... I don't want to install an Amp anymore... The head unit should be pretty good..

Does the pioneer have front and rear speaker hook ups?
So built in crossover

The dash speakers are probably 3.5" so will sound "buzzy" unless you can cut out most of the bass, low frequencies, going to them

Blaupunkt - 5x7's in the rear, possible that 6x9 would fit. And in the dash might be 3" tweeters just guessing on the size but any decent name brand will probably sound good. Pioneer speakers are engineered for pioneer head units. Just saying.

So best bet would be to go with the best Pioneer speakers I can buy??
