I have an 86 B2. As far as I know I have only seen ONE screw on canister type fuel filter in the back drivers side area. I have read SEVERAL posts about the 86 having TWO filters. Am I going CrAzY or have I been missing a filter under my Bronco???

The forward filter is in a stupid spot, and fairly hidden.

It is on the frame, forward of the driver's seat. If you look at the frame near where the front axle mounts and the frame rises up a bit there is a bracket bolted to the frame there. The filter is held to the back side of that bracket with a hose clamp.

I just pulled the Bronco into my shop and crawled under it and followed the Fuel lines and they go straight from the pump up to the FPR. Maybe early 86's don't have 2? :dunno:

I suppose that's possible.

A 1986 Ford Bronco II can have two fuel filters, one in the back near the tank, one in the front behind the bracket as mentioned. Sometimes the one in the back is an empty canister, it mainly serves as a reservoir when going up a hill so the engine does not starve. You need the one in the front . If it is not there, most likely someone damaged the line and just replaced it with something else.
