I'm fairly certain that no one on the internet has built an old b2000 into a prerunner... If I'm wrong please send me a link, I would love to see their set up.

Here she is stock, I just picked her up for $1,500 and has 165k miles. Its in excellent condition and I plan to keep it that way :D

My goals for this is to convert it from a completely stock truck into a daily driver that gets great gas mileage, reliable, and can be used for light to moderate off road driving. I like to go camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, etc so I would like to increase the ground clearance and over all flex/travel of the suspension. That will be the hardest part to over come because no one makes suspension upgrades for this truck. I might do a body lift, its kinda up in the air at this point.

Things on the list over the next week or two;

Engine:
32/36 weber carb
Remove and clean out fuel tank, blow out fuel lines, replace fuel filter.
New fuel level sending unit
New head gasket
New timing belt
New spark plugs
Oil change

Lighting:
Hella ff220 fog lights
Hella 550 Driving lights
H4 headlight conversion w/ silverstar lights
Front push bar (this is in the maybe/further out category)

Offroad Gear:
15lb CO2 on board air tank
Shovel
Air Tools
(2)Full size spare tires mounted
Tool box full of misc crap

Electronics:
Cobra CB radio
Hella supertone horns
CD Player
Speakers
Tachometer

So does anyone have ideas on how to get more flex/travel out of the suspension?

If there isnt a very simple way I will probably just crank up the torsion bars a little and remount the rear leaf springs over the top of the axle. That way I can atleast get a little more ground clearance. Then maybe do the body lift for better approach clearance.

Some additional things I would like to do down the road

-removable doors
-all terrain tires (currently have winter tires)
-limited slip differential (if I can find one that will fit... or new axle)
-Front winch
-Highlift jack
-Fully integrate the Onboard Co2 tank
-top rack for snowboards, bikes, kayaks, lights, etc.
-cruise control
-Electric fan
-Lighting and speakers inside camper shell.
-(2)Aux 5 gallon jerry cans.
-GPS mount
-oil pressure guage
-Traction ladders/planks

Nice find and welcome to TRS! Good Luck w/ the build.
