1985 ranger with 95 mustang 5.0, C6 w/205 or M50DR2 w/205

I have a 1985 ranger that im puting a 95 mustang gt 5.0 motor w/ harness and maybe dash in, the mustang had an auto, i would like to have a 5spd, but if i can put an auto in it like a C6 can i plug in the harness to it, or would a M50DR2 with a NP 205
