1985 2wd 302 ranger

well tryin to clean the shop up some tonight, so i set some of the interior in, and no its not in final, just to clear some space up in the shop.

sub box with theaudiobahns.

interior looks amazing. seems carb choice is a touchy topic. just roll what ya got, and save for tha demon. hope ya get it runnin soon the first drive keeps ya goin!

thanks jay, ya the edlebrock has been pissing me off lately, guess im calling tech support again tomorrow to see what kinda bs answer they give me this week lol. i might drop the seats in for fun to get a lil more room in the shop on friday night, so ill take a pic if i do. id do it tom night but back to school for me on tuesdays and thursdays.

hey just started sticking the hood and found filler. took my body hammer and started knocking it out to see how bad the dent was and found a few nice sized holes. so i guess the plan for using the stock hood is off. anybody know where i can get a fair priced induction hood and what years will work with the first gen, thanks

alright another mostly non productive night. got the emblems back painted, they just need to be shined up now.

seems your makin some decent progress. my ranger isn't dependable enough for me to sink money into. perhaps a 302 would fix this. haha. hope the edelbrock doesnt give you any more problems. that dash is truly unique and im a huge orange fan. where'd you get the cell from?

Nice man! 5am though?? Up early or up late? The vid seemed kinda dark, were you outside?

lol up late and still goin, i was in the shop but had the door closed bout half way coverin the lights up

Ah....that makes sense. I remember when things would be going good and I'd stay in the garage until 4:30am or later.

lol i know how that goes, lately its been work 7-5, then school 5:30-10 then shop till whenever

well ordered some of the gauges today, gonna get try and get most of the wiring tied up sooner than later lol. heres what i got got coming

im putting in autometer phantoms, id go with phantom IIs but dont justify the extra cost for basically the same gauges

oh yea, me being a.d.d. as usual, had to put one of the emblems on a fender and hold er up for a pic

alright, been kinda slow week on the truck with school, so this weekends goals are to get all the pulleys lined up, get something figured out with the power steering pump, fab up radiator mounts and wire in the alt.

sell the elder-brock and buy a holley ! ta da ! no more problums . lol but i love the build ! definatly think the swb is goona be soooooo much fun in the dry ........ and a freakin blast in the wet ! props to you ! :headbang:

its quite the opposite with me. All the Holleys have needed to be adjusted an rebuilt, whereas every Edlebrock I've had was a simple bolt on and go....didn't even have to adjust the mixtures any. Bought used edlebrock carbs on ebay and they all worked perfect, didn't need rebuilt. The edlebrock on my v8 ranger was sitting in the garage on the shelf for 5 years, and it worked perfect, no rebuild or anything :)
