I have a 1984 4x4 Ranger that i am looking to do a 302 swap. I have done several searches on this site over the last couple months and tried to put together a list of parts needed. My question is: Is there any site on here where all the parts are spelled out?

I want to upgrade to a 8.8....What donor vehicle do I use?
I want to upgrade the front axle as well....What donor vehicle do I use?
Am usre there will be many more questions that come up in the process.

Thanks,
Mike O.

the parts to do the swap depends on what engine, tranny, and tcase you plan to use.

8.8 rear swap and a d35 TTB up front. Ford Explorers 91-94 for the donor. this way you can get both axles from 1 truck.

The parts you will need depends on what you want. for info there is a list of the part i've bought to do my 83 Ranger 2.3 carb to 5.0 EFI.

engine/trans/t-case from a 89 bronco
fuel tank from a 91 Ranger
engine mount from a 4.0L Ranger
right exhaust manifold from a 70's Maverick
Radiator from a 4.0 Cherokee
oil pan from a Mustang/crown vic
custom exhaust from engine to rear end
oil filter relocation kit from motorcraft
and i surely forgot some........

you will have to make custom drive shaft to connect the 5.0 powertrain to the Ranger differential.

Lots of fun, hope you have some friends at the junkyard ;)
