I’ve got a ‘79 Supercab 2wd… The only issue I have with it is that it’s a 2wd, so I’m converting it to 4wd.Supercabs and crew cabs were unpopular back then. A 2wd Supercab would sell like a turd sandwich here.
2wd with good tires will do 85-90% of what most truck owners do.Supercabs and crew cabs were unpopular back then. A 2wd Supercab would sell like a turd sandwich here.

My 97 is a extcab 2wd 3/4ton. Ive never really missed the 4wd except for maybe 2 or 3 times in the 10 yrs ive owned it.
It doesn't matter what a 2wd can do if no one will buy it. We didn't even stock 2wd trucks, the few we sold we either swapped in or ordered.2wd with good tires will do 85-90% of what most truck owners do.
