1979 Ford Bronco Restoration "Iron Horse"

351m and high performance dont belong in the same sentance together lol

tried to order them from summit but my bank wouldnt let me order them because its a foregin order so i had to go down to the bank and confirm it in person but i never got around to doing it so ill go do it someday lol

The 351 (last time I checked) put out 210hp and torque is like 325 or 330.

I think those numbers are for newer trucks though.

in 1979 the 351m put out 156hp @ 4000rpm, and 262ft-lbs torque @ 2000rpm

Ranger is gone, got $265 for it, and I got to keep my wheels, its gonna be stripped and junked.

Bad news is the Bronco is gonna need to be moved by rollback, so thats another 100 out of my pocket. When I go down to see adsm08, Im gonna get 2 tires mounted, and its the Bronco is gonna be moved sometime this week.

I am gonna be patching the rusted spots for now, replace those panels later, the floor is welded up to be used, Im gonna replace those floor portions later on. The headers Im gonna repair, as I dont have that much to replace them, and the brakelines, fuel filter, front windshield, and etc. will be replaced, I hope to have it on the road in a few weeks, but Ive never done brakeline before..... crap....

NOTE: I kept the bench to the Ranger as a couch for the shop, the wheels for the bronco, the front fenders for adsm08, the lights (front and back) to pawn off, and I also kept the interior dash panels for sale since people lose them. I also kept screw on bedliner piece for the tailgate in case anybody wanted it.

The Headache Rack I built is for sale, its only $40, fits full size ranger bed, has 2 lights, all the wires come with the box the lights came in. Pickup only, unless you like insane shipping cost.

no fluids at all in it, and the lines look fine ironically, even the brake lines, the brakes even work!!!

I replaced studs and adsm08 guided me through that and he also mounted my rangers' offroad tires on 2 rims off my my bronco at the dealership. Thanks bro!

No fluids at all? You mean nothing in the trans or engine as well? That's not good if theres nothing in those..Especially that motor. If the motors dry, there are ways to hopefully get the motor moving again...

the tranny is not dry, but the engine was fairly low on oil, no coolant, no steering fluid, no brake fluid, no gas, and surprisingly.... there was wiper fluid...... wtf??

okay, found this on the steering pump mount onto the block, insight?

Going to go out and buy some coolant, an oil filter, oil, battery, and maybe 2 more studs/lugs to finish the job on the back hub. Maybe not all at once, but hopefully before I leave for college next Friday.

also, I got the back window open and the rear down WOO! it was just old.

Inside the bronco I found a valve cover gasket (new), a towing strap (ratchet/5000lbs, also new), a engine computer (new), and a few tools and wires to redo the truck.

Not sure if you are going to try it or not but try to turn that motor over by hand before you every try to start it to make sure it's not seized.

its been started lol, it runs, just needs fluids, filters, and exaust work

Lets see some vids of this thing rawring to life.

I started it about a month ago, I had it floored and it died after a bit, it wouldnt idle, so it needs filters, probably a carb clean, and more fluids lol.

It roared alright, I got video on my old phone, I cant get it off of it though.
