FE's were great engines but 75 and 76 360's and 390's were not good examples. We had a ton of trouble with coolant leaks through sand holes in the blocks, lower end knocks, etc. That's a nice clean looking truck, though.
Very nice, Very re-powerable if it has engine issues too. We had a 74 with a 300 & a 77 with a 400. The 77 was a absolute unstoppable beast, 400/C6/4.10s/4wd. It also got 9 mpg pretty consistently. The 74 was about a 16 mpg truck withits 300/creeper 1st 4speed/3.73/2wd. Very reliable and had enough rear weight that 2wd was not a limitation. Both trucks were the nearly identical two-tone dark green/light green “ranger” pkg reg cab longbeds.
