did you have your junkyard head magnafluxed for cracks? I had a cracked head on my 94 2.3, got a junkyard head and it was almost as bad. ended up getting a remanufactued autozone head. the dual plug head is bad about that, not as much metal to deal with the thermal cycling. Over time they develop cracks. eventually Im sure my replacement head will too, if its got another 20 years in it
drivers side is where the crankcase breather/pvc is. did something come apart & start venting there? I know its tough to see or get to being under the intake manifold. I also had my head gasket blow between 3&4 cyl, and the gasket had eroded to a drain passage for the head (oil return) Thats why I tore mine down in the first place, would only run on 2 cyl and was fogging for mosquitoes with all the oil being drawn into the cylinders then being pushed into the exhaust manifold. 1 qt every 4 miles and 40 mph was all it would do. I didnt even know I had a cracked head, had it checked just to be on the safe side. Glad I did.
