Hi Everyone, It's been a while since I last dropped by. We sold our Ranger a few years ago... However, I just grabbed a cool '61 Ranchero... I'd like to discuss some fixes-adjustments-parts-etc.... Anyone owned or own one that would like to discuss and give advice? Thanks!

Never owned one... but we would surely like to see it.

Yeah... Give us pictures!

61 is falcon based correct?

yes...pictures lol

Congrats 🍻
I also owned a 61 ranchero, very interesting vehicle.
I remember it didn't come with reverse lights from the factory.
It came with a straight-six, and a generator...which I later upgraded to a 12si alternator.
The side push-rod panels leaked a bit, due to stripped threads.

Nova Joe was the go-to for any hard to find parts back then.
Wife never liked it, so we didn't keep it long :(

Here's the little truck. The previous owner "upgraded" the motor (it was tired) from the original 170 IL6 to a Mustang 200 IL6... And converted it from manual to auto...

Nice truck!

I'd drive the wheels off of it, just like it sits.

Needs one of these

Sorry, wasn't Nova Joe I mentioned earlier.
Getting my previous vehicles confused (also owned a 62 chevy II wagon).

It was the Falcon Club of America.

One modification worth doing is to install a later dual master cylinder and split the brake system. With a single pot system like that, any fluid leak- blown hose, wheel cylinder, etc- means you have no brakes at all.
