I rebuilt the radio for a friend's '55 Chevy convertible, and took it to him yesterday. He has
just finished a frame up restoration on it himself. He did everything (body work, paint, interior, mechanics)
except installing the convertible top, he took it to an expert for that.

Of course I had to take a few shots of it:

Good work on that one...I like how clean the motor is...no electronic gizmos to complicate things...even running the generator like my Galaxie had on it...Cool~!

Doesn't matter what brand you're loyal to, a sweet car is a sweet car. And THAT is a sweet car.

Glad to see he did everything right! I take it hes going to have it judged and certified now?

I know he is entering it in the car show at the Auto Fair in Charlotte this coming weekend......

Nice

Very nice.

Knew a guy once, restored a 56 convert but I thought it was a waist of money.
The factory colors were a butt ugly pea soup green and black and had a inline 6 with auto trans.

Good Man. Thank You!

Beautiful machine. I would also like to see some photos of your model T and your Galaxie if you have any?

My Model T is in the middle of a restoration, but I do have some photos of my Galaxie. I might have posted these before, but here they are again.
This car was my Aunt & Uncle's who passed away about 13 years ago.
I have had the car ever since. They always kept the car garaged (and
so do I). It is ALL ORIGINAL, NEVER BEEN RESTORED IN ANY WAY!! It
only has a little over 26K miles (as you can see from the odometer shot),
and the spare tire has never been moved since it was installed at the factory, the whitewall still has the blue coating on it.....All of the inspection, and registration receipts, along with the window sticker were in the glovebox.

Enjoy!!

Thank You. That is one beautiful car!
It even has the cruise-o-matic.

Thanks!!

The Chevy was in real rough shape before the restoration started, the floor
pans were basically gone, etc. ........

That Chevy is absolutley stunning. I see big money if so on the auction block of Barrett-Jackson. My buddy and I are in the process of restoring a 1958 Bel Air 2 door sport coupe with a 348. Considering that I am 18, this should be a BIG undertaking, but ive worked on many classics such as tri 5's, 69 charger, chevelles, vettes... so this should just be another one for the books.

Gotta love those old Bel-Airs, my dad has a 4dr 1957 for his retirement project. It is in pretty good shape, and like the one shown just says "class" all over it. I notice that this one has the same style of generator driven power steering as ours. It is in pretty good shape for never being touched, but needs alot of work.
