190,000 miles on factory plugs Picture Added

Well, I have only had this truck for about a month. I got it from a friend after he blew the factory timing belt. I fixed that. I talked to him and found out the he has had it from about 40K till I got it at 189K. He said he had never changed the plugs.
The truck was running great with the factory plugs, but I knew they needed to be changed.
I did not know a truck would run on plugs that looked like these. The center electrode was missing on half of them and the ground was worn to look like a bucket. Stock gap is .044, these were .125+, yes 1/8th inch.
Well, the truck runs even better now, no surprise.
So, do not use cheap plugs. I replaced them with the double Plats like factory and I am glad I did. Cost me $40 but its good to know that they will go the distance.
Also, I did not remove the intake. I did it in under an hour(30-45 min). It REALLY helps to use a long extension with a universal and then wrap electrical tape from the plug socket all the way to the extension. This reduces the flop of the universal and makes it so you pull the extension and get every thing out. If you don't, the socket stays behind under the intake and it sucks to get it out.
