18yrs old first project

nice work man got me hooked on this thread .... almost made me late for work lol

my opinion hope you do something in the trade man for a younger one you have nice workmanship

truck is lookin great bro. I love the general look you are going for. you gonna do some wheels and tires? maybe some 18's? ALWAYS best to get the expensive stuff out of the way while you are living at home and not paying as much out on bills. my project came to somewhat of a standstill as i started pullin 40-50 hour work weeks, payin bills, and doin yard work. Luckily, i had my lift and stuff done already.

i actually already moved out beginning of july :P its not to much more expensive though just the cost of food becuase rents the same here as my parents were charging me at home. and ya im not overly sure about wheels and tires, im always on the classifieds looking for a set of 17s or 18s but at the moment it isnt a high priority, if i come across a set i really like with rubber for a good deal ill snag them for sure but my truck is still far too slow to think about wheels:3gears:

I'm selling my wheels off the 04, aluminum somethings 16in. brand new tires.
just ordered Moto's and boggers.

progress has been slow lately but i got a couple of things done, first i finally got a capacitor aswell as i picked up a 130 amp alt from an explorer, no pictures yet but i've been making some okay progress on my intake setup so that will be ready to go on soon and ill get some more pics

That's going to be one mint little street truck!! You've made some excellent progress.:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

Now, isn't this better than videogames? (That's a hint to all you high-schoolers, get out there and do something!!!!:headbang:)

Less ghetto, more ballin'!
Truck looks sweet, get some pictures up of the new intake on there! And make a roll pan already so you can take the taped-on license plate off your back window. I'll even help! =P

Man...this build thread is taking me back to my highschool days with my 92....I guess highschool days were like 6 months ago lol. NICE TRUCK! There is no substitute for flat black :headbang:

sweet truck. nice work. --- lol this is my lame post so i can be sub'ed to your sweet ass build.

i hate lowered trucks too but i apprec. the amount of work your actually doing yourself.

way to many kids with daddys credit card these days.

ben a while since i checked out this build and its still heading in a good direction. what kind of tint did you use in the windows? was it the film or the spray on stuff? ive been thinking about tinting the side windows, i know its probably illegal, but so are all the fun things in life. keep up the good work, maybe just throw some paint on those wheels and get a white paint pen and color in the lettering on the tires to get that street wheel look?

its been way to long since i've worked on my truck or done an update but i guess i was just taking a break, im getting the ball rolling again though.

the tint is a film i just bought it off ebay for 20 bucks, pretty easy to install, i have some 35% for the side windows to which im on the fence about installing but i have seen a couple cars with it around here so i might even just go ahead and do it tommorow.

As for updates!

intake is on! new 98 upper intake manifold and 60 mm throttle body with an intake tube from an acura modified to fit. i have vaccuum leak issues now though so i have a little work yet to do.

found a 130 amp alternator out of an explorer at the junkyard as well, looks brand new. not bad for 20 bucks:yahoo:

so if anyone is looking for a 130 amp i have a spare, just before i found the one above i bought one from the local wrecker for 90 bucks:annoyed:

i also started on an axle swap, found a 8.8 out of an explorer with 3.73s and posi for 100 bucks, came with drums but i couldn't beat the price.

tommorow i'll do another update, hoping to get tint done, put my dash back together and wire up some reverse lights aswell as cut off the shock mounts and find someone who will let me use a welder to burn them onto the new axle.

isaac get that welder back and i'll start making a roll pan as soon as the axle is back in!!
