No, just because you have subs rated at 1200 watts doesn't mean jack. You're only getting 300 watts rms. I used to have a system in my old truck. 1 Kenwood 1200 watt sub with a Sony Xplod 1000 watt amp. I blew away my buddys Kicker L7.

Very true but the same can be said about hp ratings. How often do you rev your trucks to 5k+

every day at least once everyday if not constantly i usally stay aruond the 3-5k area in city driving i need quick power response to get around these people that cant drive. i need to get better at it i end up hitting the limiter i dont like that i need to find the sweet shift in there right before it hits the limiter.

That only means you're at 1400 max, not 1000 rms.

Damn, I only have 650RMS. Although, I did only spend $170 on EVERYTHING as far as my system goes. I either bought it used, got it free or as my recent adventure today won it in a Raffle (Orion 50wrms components!!! For free I'm not complaining...lol)

Im running two 12 inch subs with four 6 1/2 inch M-Audio's, two 5 1/4 inch infinities, and two 6x9 best buy brand...(forget the name)

Im only running 700 watts rms but i get 105 dcbls easy.
