i actually got to see one in person the other day running around evansville... they look pretty sick but im not too fond of the front end... but i would still drive one if i had the money

Well, they are super neat trucks...just way over priced for me. I can't wait to see the crewcab one coming out soon!! My wife and I went to the Ford dealer two weeks ago to look at a black 2010 Raptor (only two Raptor's left they told us). It's base price was $49K. We went to go out on a test drive (road) with a sales manager and the thing broke down 5 min. after we left the parking lot. Something to do with the computer he told us. We then looked at a new 2010 F150 4x4 crewcab that was priced at 24K fully loaded. Took that out and I really liked it!! But...not the price..We have 6 years left on the house and then we will be out of dept. Maybe......then???

That's a $100k pick-em-up truck. Sure, it's probably cheaper than you can build a fer-real Baja runner, but those two figures together place the Raptor XT into the realm of supermodels and movie stars; It's beautiful to look at, and you can't help but imagine how it performs, but it's not within the realm of possibility to have for yourself

Not for me man. I could build one hell of a truck for that kind of mulah!

I thought I would never see a $100k vehicle with no VIN and sold for "off-road use only".

For $100k bucks, I would buy 2x Ranger 4x4. One new and one used. New one would be used for a daily driver and the used one would be to off-road with.

This is a really interesting, and whip smart, marketing idea for Ford. I've always loved and bought Fords but lately it's starting to look like this company is really cresting in terms of new ideas and re-thinking the car business. They are in a unique position and it appears that this has not been lost on these guys. While the other US automakers fell on their swords, Ford dodged bankruptcy and came out the other end in full stride.

This Raptor is the epitome of truck porn and count me enamored. That's prime lottery daydreamin' material right there.

x2! very well said, and ford really has been changing for the better lately! i always keep up on the ford news on the homepage, and quite honestly, the rate of progression is just amazing. ive pretty much seen everything unfold right in front of my eyes. very cool.

and come to think about it, while 100k is a high pricetag, think of it this way; that thing is a real, legitimate racecraft that can be purchased and with minimal modifications be very competitive.

That is one sweet truck. The Hyundai looks horrible, but it kind of reminds me of a FJ Cruiser.

The Raptors are awesome, I've seen a couple around town, As for the Hyundai thing the pics is the bronco concept truck rebadged. Probably just photoshopped and not really what they're plannin on doing. Go look at the B2 corral, there is a whole article on the bronco concept.

If Hyundai made the bronco concept just like fords version, I might go look at it.

wow, thats amazing Ford would do that! lol
Now everyone with 100K will think they're a professional Prerunner racer now, like when rich kids get Vipers, all the sudden they can handle racing with a 10 or 12 cyl.

See how many amateurs show up at the next baja race! lol, Not that I wouldn't bring it there though either! lmao!
