10" or 12" Sub?

I have a 1.25 cubic ft ported box in my ex cab Ranger. Its tuned to 30 hz. I drive it with a JL 500/1. It takes up the rear seat area but it sounds better than the sealed 12 I had first. My sub is better & louder in the ported bow & its not boomy. Its tight.

I have a Rockford Fosgate 12" R2 sub with a RF R250-1D amp in a Sound Ordnance ported box. It hits plenty hard, hard enough to shake the rear view mirror around. I used to have it in a compact sealed box, but upgraded to a ported box and never looked back.

If you have a little room and change, I HIGHLY recommend Sundown Audio. I have 2 SA 8 v.1 dual 4 ohm subs running off a Kicker ZX500.1 amp at 2 ohm stable. I am putting down 134.8 db of awesomeness.
