With my ranger is it even possible to lift me truck 10 inches? And if so is it possable to lift her for under $2500? Im just woundering. :headbang:

The only way I can think that would get you ten inches is a solid axle swap and a lot of custom fab work. if you do it yourself its gonna be pushing your 2,500$ budget... if not your best bet is to go with a 93 - 97 ranger and get the 8" lift and a 2" body lift, and you will still have enough for tires and stuff..

You seem really eager to lift this thing up as high as you can and slap bigger tires on it... personally i would wheel it the way it is right now and figure out exactly what you want... I always thought an 8" lift is what I wanted with 35's and a V8 but after wheeling my mostly stock truck I know I will never use it... I go places on my 31's that most people I know wouldn't even attempt.

+1 on the solid axle swap. Otherwise you could get 7" with a 4" Superlift kit and a 3" bodylift and that would come in right around $2500 if you do the work yourself.
Assuming you want tires to match the lift, that 3.0 is going to have trouble turning them so see what are the deepest gears that you can find. I know you can get 4.56, 4.88 I'm not sure about for the front. New gears front and rear, installed, add about another $1000. And if you want 10" of lift to run 36"-38" tires and actually go off-roading then you will break a lot of front end parts.

Don't do 10".
I've got a 6" suspension lift and a 3" body lift. It is so top heavy it's been on it's side a number of times. My lift was used and cost only $200. The body lift was $70. So it's possible to go that high cheap. On my old ranger I made my own drop shackle brackets (still have them in the garage), and those cost about $10 in steel. I do all my own work and by only used parts. You can do a lot for a very small about of money if you have the time an are willing to make some calls to find what parts are available at salvage yards and 4x4 shops. My 302 only cost $150 and had been freshly rebuilt. That all being said, don't go 10". It's UNSAFE!

Around here we don't have bottomless mud holes or competition style rocks. In the world around here a 33" tired good travel suspension will beat a big truck because of maneuverability and stability.

i think you need to figure out your goals for the truck before you start dreaming for the sky...

what kind of terrain if its a DD or not if you can do the work yourself ETC...

No. You will not even come close to a 2500 budget unless you booty fab a 10" body lift outta poo pipe.
