1 Ton Explorer Sport build

Stripped the front 60 for the new wedges, then welded the tubes to the housing and welded in the plug welds

Then put the axle under the truck, mounted the wedges and the arms on, unwelded, positioned everything where I wanted it, then tacked the wedges in place.

I also made a tie rod

Then I decided that in order for me to use these arms on this frame I either had to shorten them to put them under the frame or bend them, I bent them.

I need them under the frame for a few reasons, like no room for a crossmember, so I can tuck them up higher, and because it make my life easier haha.

I also made the lower shock mounting plates and spacers for the radius arm caps.

Now I am really waiting for the heims and track bar stuff. Once I get that and put it in, I will pretty much have a roller.

Have I told you lately that I love you?!?

Umm, I don't think so.

After I made that last update I went back out and welded the wedges on for good

IMAG0035.jpg

Then put it back under the explorer and bolted the arms on with the shock mount pads.

The arms ate still on the inside edge of the frame but I can deal with that. Just have to gusset it up, we will see. It will be another couple days till I can get out there.

Why are they advertisements in the middle of your posts Kyle?

I must not see them because I am a premium member?

Al, get your parts for me?

I have them all in my possession. You'll get them at lunch tomorrow.

I'm a Premium member and I am seeing them on all the pictures, wanting us to compare the GMC Sierra against the Ford Ranger

All so, nice build

No work was done last night, but I did get the rest of the parts, hope I can work on it a little tonight. Kids and work take up too much time lol

Cut up the track bar brackets to fit the frame and made a track bar, then tacked em all on, might move it all a litte yet

Then I went and put the jonny joints in and centered and squared the axle and mounted the frame side hangers, just tacked for now.
