1 Sexy 91 Race Ranger!

Not sure about the sway bar. Not really sure everything that is done to the suspension either. The previous owner had a friend that used to race circle track with rangers, and had a crap load of racing stuff given to him, and it all went into this truck. Im trying to get back ahold of him, but he is a sneaky little bugger. He has a full list written up of what went into it, but I forgot to grab it when I bought it.


Here is a pic of the truck on solid ground. As you can see, it sits high enough to make some 4x4's jealous!!!

I think the 3/4 will be perfect!

yeah, man, hit up that 3/4 drop. that'll look really good. i like the color of it too, matched up with the clear heads and corners. looks good, man, good find.

Lol, yea, it looks like a 4x4 sport model! I love the truck, and couldnt belive it the first time I saw it, when he finnaly finished it and brought it down to work. He kept telling me about this sweet 91 ranger that he bought from texas, with 48k origional miles on it, that he was going crazy on! I sold him the cobra rims that are on it now, cause I had no use for them anymore. Then a few weeks later, its in my yard, and I had my rims back, lol. In person the flat black stripe, really stands out alot more, and gives the truck a really good contrast.

Everyone keeps telling me to put a crome rear bumper on it, or a rollpan, but I like it the way it is!

Just a curious question:

How come the body lines from the cab to the box match on the pass. side but not on the driver's side? Seems like the box is jilted a hair on the driver's side.

Hmm.... Never noticed that before. Must be a squatted cab mount on the drivers side. Thats kinda what it looks like in the pics. Ill have to climb under there and see what is going on! Thanks for the heads up!

I have an 86 merkur XR4Ti sitting in my garage as we speak. That will be my donor car, as I just did the head gaskett to it last fall, and there isint a rocker left on the damn thing to pass inspection. The whole engine is getting transplanted.

I love my cobra rims lol. Also I think my truck sit about as high as yours right now, a 3/4 drop is want Im trying to do as well.

i dont really like those lowered 2wd rangers. that truck is BEAUTIFUL like she is, one of the best 2wds ive seen. i love the stance she has now i think it makes her look kinda mean, way better than being lowered. just my opinoin though.

The new grill that the previous owner bought, didnt come with one, and I am having a hard time finding one that fits. I have one that is close, but I would have to trim down to size, and I dont really want to do that. Not sure how im going to replace it yet.

I'm not positive but that looks like an Explorer grill.

You should get a rollpan for the back. Finish it up but let it keep that clean 'no bumper' look.

hell yeah.. i swear i thought your truck had a 5.0 in it for some reason. now a turbo 5.0 that would be comfortable with 10-12 pounds of boost... that would be something original. the merkurs engine will definitely be a smile maker though
