I have a 95 ranger 2.3l dual plug 5 speed, the number 1 injector is not firing or you can not hear it clicking. I have battery power at the injector plug. ok so i have replaced the injectors, and still the same problem. so i unplug the wiring harness at the computer and with a test light I back probe the wiring harness and you can hear the injector clicking and the test light comes on. Only DTC is misfire cycl 1. I have replaced O2 sensor, spark plug & wires. Im leaning towards a faulty EEC. But does any one has any other suggestions. Thanks :icon_thumby:

No, that about covers it.

Injectors get 12volts with key on from a shared wire,

Each injectors has it's own Ground wire running back to computer(EEC).
#1 ground should be Tan wire.
If you have grounded that wire at computer connector and injector #1 "clicks" then wire is good and yes, computer is most likely the issue.

I can't see the cam position sensor causing single injector failure.

On the batch fire injection #1 and #4 injectors used the same ground wire, you may be able to use that method until you fix the problem.
