Hey, I'm new here and I need some help finding something (or I need to be told it doesn't exist)

Just picked up a 97 2wd ranger, and I need a smaller body lift to help with some tire clearance. Does anybody make a 1" or maybe a 2" for a 97 standard cab? All I can find is the PA 3" lift, and thats too much for my plans for the truck.

I have skyjacker coils and shocks on the front to level it, fiberglass fenders front and rear, and 33" tires, so I could use some extra space. LT suspension is in the near future, so 3" (and probably 2" too) body bushings will be too tall and prone to failure when the truck is getting worked offroad. Thanks for any help.

not to many people will agree with me but you could take the 3 inch pa lift an cut the blocks down to an inch.. or you could buy some hockey pucks an drill a hole an use them for now... but other than that no idea..:dntknw:

I know some company makes b/l's for YJ's. Check the blot size and you might be able to get away with jeep parts. I know there's not as many bushings in their kit, but you might be able to find extras on ebay.

Good luck

You can buy blocks individually on Ebay or from 4wp, then its just a matter of getting bolts approx 30mm longer than stock.

I have a 97 2wd and I made my own body lift. I went down to the local boat trailer shop and bought a few straight boat rollers and cut them into pieces. All together I might have spent 50 bucks on the rollers and hardware and they are holding up better than the stock body bushings.

Thanks for the info guys, I couldn't find the info I needed without you.

Evan, I sent you a PM.

id just cut the 2" or 3" pucks down to 1". Just make sure they are all the same height. I wouldnt use YJ pucks cuz they are smaller in diameter and dont fit the ranger mounts good.

So I should buy the 3" diameter pucks in a 1" height, right? And they will sit atop the stock body mounts, or replace it?

i have 3in blocks cut in thirds in my truck right now...no problems

Don't do hockey pucks, they WILL split.

I never intended to get hockey pucks.

So if I find someone to buy the spacers from, I need 3" diameter, 1" height spacers, and the hardware from the post b-rad made and I should be good to go, correct?

You may have to do some adjusting to your radiator, when I did my body lift the radiator moved up with the body and I probably would have broken the shroud or the fan. It might be worthwhile to go to PA's website and see if they have instructions online to see if there is other things that would would pop up.

For mine I just cut the bottom of the shroud out per the instructions that came with the kit and it works fine.
