1/2 Ton Buggy Build

Already working on it. Didn't replace the ball joints during the build because they looked okay but after one wheeling trip the lowers are shot. picked up a set of moog's from Advance and started pulling it apart tonight. Has to be ready for Turkey Bay on Saturday.

Ball joints on a buggy? I didn't replace bad ball joints on a TTB and still drove it everyday.

LOL what is this pirate 4x4? Problem is when a ball joint comes apart it breaks everything axle shaft, air shock, brake line, tie rod and maybe the inner or outer C. I have seen it happen, it was a all day recovery and very expensive fix.

We got LUCKY and could back a trailer right up to it where it broke. Took two fawkin hours to load it, but at least we werent in the woods!!!

Not that lucky when it happened to my buddy Jeremy. We had to pull the trailer back into the woods but first had to get his rig up the hill he was trying to climb when the front end started bouncing and ball joint broke. My lowers had zero grease in them and lots of slop uppers weren't too bad but replaced all 4 with Moog's.

Well got my propane tanks refilled, only $2.59 gallon at the u-haul rental place. I've only had to the trails twice but I would say a 8 gallon tank is lasting me 5-6 hours.

Also got one new 39.5 Irok so now I have a spare. And a fire extinguisher holder.

You guys, I have heard that the napa blue cap heavy duty or raybestos balljoints are now the best! Just something for you guys to consider if you go out to buy new ones.

Also they have a lifetime warranty.

Put more propane tanks on it. And add videos. :D

Started swapping out the 3.50's for 5.13's
This is the 8.8 final gear pattern. Only took four tries that's pretty good for me.
