08 Ranger, factory front diff that's not a D35?

My mechanic when pricing an axle seals and the computer said some rangers have a D40something front end as well. Computer mistake or true?

I would say computer error. Ford shop manual only lists the D-35 as the front axle for the 08 Ranger.

Yup. Certainly not the first time they've had errors like that either lol.

The parts store I worked at. Look up axle seals and bearings for a 94 exploder. Always popped up at the good old dana 28 junk.
