07 knocking noise when going over bumps?

just a quick question guys, when going over bumps at a decent speed but not excessive. theres a knocking noise that occurs, kinda sounds like metal on metal. it happens right at the moment that the front section would become free floating. its location is front too middle but i can't be positive. i can feel it in the floor.

if some body could let me know what they think or if they have encountered a problem similar too it that would be great.

its a 2007 with less then 32Km on it. all stock, fx4 model!

Sounds like a ball joint. I had one replaced on my old '02 Ranger when it was still on warranty.

you might check out your sway bar end links. my brother has an 05 fx4 with cranked torsion bars and he cant keep swaybar end links in it to save his life.
