07 3.0 Valve spring questions

I want to install a cam( type a) from tom morana in my 2007 3.0, but im too cheap to get his heavy duty valve springs for 600$cad (400usd) I read somewhere that you can put chevy small blocks springs and they are kinda like the heavy duty ones from morana. Any info is helpful, im new to this stuff so it gets overwhelming sometimes a bit thank you

If you can get the specs on any springs you are trying, and compare them to his springs, it should work. There is no use putting that hot cam in the engine if the valves float at higher rpm because the springs are not stiff enough.
