'06 spare tire ready to fall out!

Pardon me if this has been discussed before....and I'm sure it has.....but I don't know the solution. All the frame cross members associated with holding the spare tire up under the bed have JUST about had it, rust-wise. My dealer told me you can't buy these parts....Are you KIDDING me? This part of the Ranger is SO rust prone that they should GIVE us the parts. What do you guys do about this?

There is a site out there that specializes in frame parts. I have seen it float around here before but do not have the link. maybe someone will chime in on it. I am pretty sure that they had cross members as well.

worst case scenario, hit the junk yards and chisel/ grind the rivets out of a wreck and bolt it into yours with some grade 8 bolts/ hardware.

I can't see what your rust damage looks like, but if you can weld can you fix it? If not how about going to a fab shop and asking them to look at it. Can't hurt to try that first, Bro. I fixed one of my buddies Ranger spare tire mounts when he noticed it had some rust on it. After I cleaned up the area with my grinder I just got out my welder and spot welded it and it has been fine for over five years now.
