Well it was raining today so i had the headlights on. After lunch I parked the truck ( mind you its a diesel), and left the lights on. (oops) So i had a co worker jump me. And as I was driving home and first noticed the speedo not working, no big deal I can look into that latter. But I have a Edge Juice with attitude programmer, and that was on through out the process of jumping the truck. I didn't think much of it. So I drove home. Got home and let it run to charge the batteries. After 20 mins or so i went out to shut it down. It kept running. Usually its the EGT's so I tired to do the emergency shut down ( hit the brake) nothing. I took the fuel pump fuse out to get the motor to shut off. I believe this programmer is about to get pulled out and shit canned. Any help would help a lot. thanks.

Pull the programmer and shitcan it.

should i disconnect my battery first, to try and see what that does? before taking out programmer?

I don't know. But I have found lots of people say to disconnect the battery when it is completely unnecessary.

thats true, but its like well the batteries were working when i went to start it with all of the hope in the world. and i was let down. well off to hook them back up, ill post my findings.

Disconnect just the programmer for about 20 minutes or so. It should reset itself. I've dealt with si ilar problems this way...

worked for now, disconnected for about 10 mins, reconnected, accepted the programmer users info, key in, truck on, key off, TRUCK OFF.. one win for the good guys! lol

for future reference, you apeshitted everything when the battery voltage went to an extended low voltage condition. i have seen this way too much over the last few winters.

this can sometimes be a very expensive issue. i suspect a few vehicles have burned down because of it, but i do not expect any recalls over it.

one of the reasons i tolerate my captain cave pig truck. i dont even need a battery or pump fuel if push come to shove to make it move.
