03 rack on 99

Can a use a 4.0 4by4 steering rack on my 99? I am wondering because I swapped a 03 4.0 in with the different power steering pump and different connector where the power steering pump line connects to the rack. thanks

Most likely, I don't believe the fittings changed but if they did you may need a custom p/s hose. If it's not too busy I'll look into it tomorrow.

yeah we were thinking of doing that with the hoses.. the difference between the two is the 99 has threads where the hose goes in the rack along with the return, i forgot how the 03 attaches but it is different

In the end the 02 2wd rack, bolted right on to the 99 4wd frame and all the lines from the 02 2wd rack connected to the power steering pump from the 03 4.0 sohc motor I swapped in, everyone get that hahah.. got lucky on this one.

i am wondering if the lower control arm ball bearing from my 02 2wd will work on my 99 4wd if i press them out, they only used them a few months and always greased them, before i flipped it.
