03 4.0 not starting at times

My 03 4.0 with 110,000 miles is not starting intermittently. Mostly it is after driving a few miles then turning the truck off for a few minutes and then trying to start again. It starts then bogs down and shakes the truck and then dies. It's like it is starving for fuel. After sitting for about an hour it will start and be just fine. Normally this happens on a 1/4 or less tank of fuel. Also the Check Engine light came on and both banks are running lean. I have been told to replace intake filter, fuel filter, and replace spark plugs. Would that help or not? Thanks for the help.

Most of the time a tune up (replacing all of those things) helps. When was the last time you replaced the plugs and stuff?

But if your check engine light is on I would take it to Autozone or somewhere and get the codes pulled, if you haven't already.

Naaa! That isn't tune up! If the plugs are bad they are first bad at hiway speeds! Not at start up. 110,000 miles on the factory plugs is fine, I run mine much farther than that!
Sounds like a lectric part is heating up and failing while hot, don't it? Does it start after a while? Does it run good when it does start? Does it always start while cold?
First thing to do is find out if, when it don't start, you have a failure of fuel or a failure of spark! Then get back here with that information.
