03 4.0 EGR deleted?

Did and 03 Ranger 4.0 come with no EGR or had mine been deleted? I am pretty sure my 01 had EGR, this one has a block off plate and a plug in the passenger side manifold where the EGR tube should go.

It appears your egr was deleted. I deleted my 01's EGR when I put on headers. My buddy made a 1/4' blockoff plate similar to yours and i put on a -10AN cap on the header. The four screw holes immediately aft of the blockoff plate used to be the egr solenoid that had vacuum lines going to it. If you have no vacuum leaks, the previous owner did a thorough job

For some reason, Ford did not have the egr on 4.0 sohc engines in the Ranger in 03. The prior years had it, and it came back again in either 04 or 05, but the 03 49 state 4.0 did not have it. I had one I bought new, and I know this for a fact.

I did a manual swap the wire harness is from a 03 the wires are not there and the PCM is not don't throwing codes.

3.0l Rangers can have Knock sensors or not, and EGRs or not, depends on the model year
