99 face lift

new here and to the explorer stuff. looking to do a facelift on my 99 explorer to the front of a sport trac. I like the grill and bumper better. And the headlights. the 99 light assemblies are ugly. imho. what is all needed to do this, is it an easy direct type swap?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the 01 explorers had the exact same front end of a sport trac?

mine doesnt look like that at all. it still has the oval type grill with the headlights that have the turn signals over the top of the headlight. I just got the truck also so I might even be off on the exact year. I thought the front was similar from 96-01. sorry bout that, i was just told it is a 99.

Oh... well 95 or 96 to 2000 they were the same then in 01 it was very limited production with that style.

well you could probably swap out for with a sport trac or possibly a ranger front grill I'm not sure. The sport track may be slightly wider...

I know you can do it with rangers, you need the lights, grille, bumper, fenders (in your case), and the header panel.

the fenders from the explorer dont fit rangers
u need to cut both fenders to make one that fits.
ull need to cut the front "C" on the explorer fender and weld it to the ranger fender so the explorer lights can fit
