rear differential

I have a 96 3.0L RWD; I recently did a gear oil drain and fill. I used 75W140 Valvoline. Any issues using that over the lighter oils? Thanks!

On my 1991 Ford ranger xlt extended cab, I can’t figure out what size my rear differential is. Im trying to replace the cover and gasket. The door sticker says 8.8 but it looks awfully like a 7.5. I’m stumped. Any help would be appreciated. Thank yall
